 A Nigerian named John Obot has been on a marathon for the past six days in an attempt to break the existing 124-hour read-aloud record held by Rysbai Isakov from Kyrgyzstan in September 2022 and set a new one at 145 hours.


The Guinness World Records marathoner Mr. John Obot has already hit the 124-hour mark since Sunday morning amidst cheers from his spectators and supporters and has extended his effort to 140 hours on Monday morning.


John Obot, from Akwa Ibom State, is now heading for his targeted 145-hour mark to set a new record.
